<hi style=afpcap>The diminutive Orenco model D fighter was designed by the Ordnance Engineering Company of Baldwin, Long Island around the Wright-Hispano 300 h.p.engine. Four prototypes were ordered during World War One , with 50 production models being obtained from Curtiss. These differed from the prototypes with the upper wing span being increased slightly, and with a modification to the wing. In addition the installation of the engine was revised. Armament consisted of one .30 inch and one .50 inch guns. </hi>
